The first and last time celebrating Teachers’ Day in SMKRA, with a bunch of teachers who I do not even know they existed. Early that morning, we were to assemble in the hall. The attendance was poor and pathetic. Even the number of prefects looks more than the whole school’s students added together. Today, every teacher was dressed in green, looking like a large patch of grass.
The event started by singing the national anthem and a few patriotic songs. The last one was the school song, which was damn funny. I was laughing non-stop. It was just that those teachers behind me started to point, then I shut up. But my ribs were aching from the control of not bursting out laughing. Not only me encountered the situation, a lot of my friends had the same feeling. The school song was agreeable weird and funny. It was: “Majulah majulah, SMK Raja Abdullah……”
There were 2 Malay girls as MCs for the event. The tonality made my hairs stand. It was that type of flirting slang. Then, to nobody’s surprise, there was a series of speeches, by the Agong and the Minister of Education. Nobody paid much attention to those speeches. Even the teachers were chattering behind. Me, the twins and Zi Qin started a game of hangman but was forbidden by a teacher. Then the teachers had to sing a song. A malay teacher just went up there and yelled the whole song through the microphone, the others just stood and murmured. Then as for the cake cutting ceremony, the teachers were presented a cake, which looked like a slab of dough. Then we only realized that it was glutinous rice.
Then the teachers had to go to the field to play some games, and we students were supposed to go there and watch, which only we did. The other students of the school disappeared. Therefore we just talked and when the time reached 10.30am, we went for recess.
After recess, there was a string of performances. First, a girl dressed like a jellyfish read a poem and sang. It sounds like wailing. Then the typical Indian dance. Then 3 guys presented a unplugged guitar accompaniment. Boring. Then there was a presentation to appreciate each teacher in the school.
Then it was the end. Stupid day.

Thank goodness now u know y that school is damned not the students but the cikgus. The cikgus need to buckle up as they themselves have no motivation to teach.
You are right at certain point coz the school is doomed due to certain reasons. It actually has improved I was told, I left the school about 8 yrs ago. Ever since that time, I hear it, famous for football and surprisingly manage to grab second place for drama in Interschool competition in KL. All these were updated by my siblings who got transfered to better schools. There were a few good dedicated ones during my time but I believe they left the school due to poor management. Tne principal was a role model of a penguin and protruding belly, fit to be a santa claus. He hardly knew what was going on in school.I m uncertain with the English teachers' proficiency, some were clear but I had a spinster who complaint about everything under the sun. It was Hooi Lai See,if I m not wrong. She was demotivating all of us and degraded the students.I hope she's married now or else I pity the students.
We had this Indian lady, Mrs Murugaiyah, who use to attract us with her English lessons by telling her family stories which was out of the syllabus and manage to kill the 1 or 2 period lessons.
She even use to boast that she comes from Hartamas and chaffeuered driven to school (In a BMW) mind you!!
Sadly, she wasted our time imagine no essays the whole year through. We were more independent and rushed for tuition classes. There are a few other Science and Maths teachers who did horrible jobs.
I was shocked when they open sixth form. A school with such low performing grade was offered sixth form. Again, I realise what you the sixth formers in SMKRA feel.
You are the most pathetic girl i've seen in my whole life. You know why? Because you have been just for about 2 weeks in my school and writting bad about my teachers and my school.I've been in this school for about 5 years and i didn't feel anything like you. i don't know why i'm writting my commmet to a pathetic girl like you and l know there is no point of doing this.i guess that you are not going to regret on your action. You write a lot about your old school but you forgot to write that the teachers in your old school didn't teach you moral and also how to respect the elders. again i'm doing mistake by especting this from a girl who does not even respect her own mother.
and i would like to tell you that no one perfect in this world. you don't act like you are the perfect one.Living in this country, you don't even know what is glutinous rice represent.......and finally i just can tell that you are a big MORON...............

You've been in RA for 5 years; I guess you must be �immuned� with the (not so good) environment in your school. Just try to put yourself in other people's shoes. Try to feel how others feel when they just enter a completely different environment.
Instead of expecting others to adapt it (poor cleanliness, facilities & ...) in a short period, something need to be done by the RA students, as well as the school authority. Maybe stop littering or learn to flush after using the toilet (if it is still functioning) will make a huge different I guess.

This is quite funny! You know why? Because you just got to know her in that 2 weeks time, just try to recall what you have done before they got the bad impression about your school; did you or the RA students welcome them? Did you talk to them? Did you try to make them feel comfortable in the new environment?
Now you people are trying to 'advertise' her blog among students and teachers, what you can gain by trying your very BEST to do so? NOTHING i guess. Do you realize that you already voiced out your dissatisfaction about her thoughts and feelings towards the school? So why can't other people voicing out their dissatisfaction as well?
If I were to see this situation as a whole, what I can say is I can�t see the maturity in preU students. Stop pointing fingers at others, there is no need to make havoc. FYI, this is HER blog, just like her personal journal, and she is just typing down her very own personal feelings towards the school or an issue. What's the matter with this huh?!

everyone in this world knows that nothing is perfect. but atleast we try to improve and be a better person. you never study in st mary before therefore you can't compare. but we did study in RA, we can see the difference between st mary and RA. there is a huge gap that you can't deny. can you?the environment is totally different, and your teacher, 'osama', i think is the koko teacher admitted that this is a terrorist's school. what can i say? say no? i can't because that is partially true.
i bet you yourself can't even stand this kind of situation if you come from a better school.
Indeed it's time that all students should start commenting about all the schools. It's high time that they need to exchange their happiness and sorrow. I ve been in SMKRA for two years after my father got transferred. We were happy in Ipoh and I was schooled in a daily school and not like St.Mary's and I enjoyed myself very much in everyway. I came to SMKRA in 2004 - 2006. It was the biggest mistake made in my life. Even my parents felt the same. Tne Bio teacher will merely read whatever is on the transparency and no explanation. I don't mind her English proficiency as I understand how much she struggles. The BM teacher comes in one day and narrates stories and other days totally forgets the class. The English lady teacher never completed her literature components and no essays for the year. The History teacher comes in talks about politics, sports etc but not the syllabus. I recalled my days in Ipoh and it was far better. ( Mind you that my primary life was in KL). Today, I m in university doing my degree in Medicine and thank God I did my Sixth Form in not SMKRA.
Hy, I studied in SMKRA but my school days were taken over by my frens and not a significant teacher. The teacher never motivate us. We are always looked down and statements that goes on is our background and we come from Jinjang etc. I feel the girl has the right to give her opinion. Ha ve this site as decent and let others give their opinions regarding schools. There are many schools with problematic teachers, mind you. Teachers keep saying they hav a lot of work to do but then again their main duty is to teach but that is not what they do. They do paper work in the supposed paperless society. Some butters the management and easily get the Kakitangan Cemerlang Award, just like that. SMKRA has strings of such teachers, sadly lady teachers who like to pick on other teachers saying bad things about them as though they are duty conscious. If one teacher is dedicated, he or she is somehow will go on transfer not because of students but the teachers.
I think it is rude to state about teachers appearance but if you want to comment about their attitude which is right then fine, go ahead because I feel we should not exaggerate things. Just speak the truth and do not state or even describe appearance cause beatu is in the eye of the beholder. Serioulsy, St Mary teachers have commented about the girls and how they behave. The old timers from the previous building in KL prefered the students. See, St Mary Selayang just doesn't have glamour anymore due to background and attitude of students. Buckle up girls. Even your teachers arent happy with you.
Talking about SMKRA, gosh that school is in a golden triangle of Jinjang Joes and Jinjang Janes, kampungs of notorious Indian students and lazy bumps of PKNS flat Malays. Aiyo, that's really a school of mixed mode and disturbed kids with problematic teachers who find faults in students. Neither the teachers would want to mould the kids nor the students want to change. Of course, students need to be shaped and moulded but sadly, when it's salary increment and awards, they show off in front of the PKs and HM. When it's teaching, they are totally zero as they keep saying either you are
going for tuition, so no need to worry or you are weak, no point if I teach. My English teacher was a spinster Miss Hooi, a horrible lady who thinks so great of herself but what's more the Ketua Panitia speaks horrendous English and loves to grop for words. I guess she is a good example for Split Brain Thrombosis, her name, oh yes NoorZehan, who carries herself like a misfit datin but with a defected quality teacher. When I first stepped into the school I was put in 4 Sc class but we had teachers who hardly teach, imagine the Komsas and Lit component that were never completed and the comment is study yourself and do not ask me. No essays both in BM and BI. In short, SMKRA is a school of shorcuts that has numerous shortcomings.
